Having lost close family members myself at an early age, I am able to empathise with grieving
families and I have a sensitive and warm approach. Over the years, I had attended too many funerals
which were impersonal and irrelevant so that I became passionate about helping others to create a
final farewell which is meaningful, entirely appropriate and beautiful and which leaves the family
with a good, positive memory, despite deep sadness.
Seven years ago, I trained as a Celebrant with ‘Greenfuse’ (www.greenfuse.co.uk) and have since helped over 800 families to create a personal farewell. I have also worked as a part-time Ceremonies Officer for Devon County Council conducting weddings but am now conducting beautiful and personal wedding ceremonies. I am a calm, friendly person with a positive, open-minded approach to life and respect all beliefs and values. The wealth of valuable experience behind me has given me all the necessary skills to support families at a very difficult and vulnerable time and to conduct a professional, caring service.
About Me

Independent Funeral Celebrant
As an Independent Funeral Celebrant, I will spend time with you, the family, getting to know your loved one who has died, and write the whole ceremony around that person. I will gently advise, guide and support you through this very difficult, emotional time, bringing everything together and creating an appropriate, meaningful farewell which mirrors their life and personality.
I will lead and advise you through every aspect - music, readings and poems and the eulogy - allowing you to create the ceremony you wish for your loved one. I aim to remove all worries and anxieties, to provide comfort and to create the trust that you are in a ‘safe pair of hands’.
